Meet the Creators of Empower Trip
John Henry has worked for over twenty-nine years in public education. With a masters in Technology Education, he was selected as a NASA Einstein Fellow, serving at NASA’s Office of Education. He later joined the New Jersey School Boards Association as senior manager of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) and Sustainable Schools, where he created and authored the STEAM Tank Challenge. He served on the board of directors for the US Green Building Council and managed New Jersey’s Green Program of Study for the NJ Department of Education. John is a leukemia survivor and is currently helping others on their journeys with cancer. He is a certified Radical Remission instructor and a holistic health and wellness coach.
Dana Hice DePugh has over thirty years of experience in education, serving as an assistant superintendent for nine years, and has served as teacher, learning disabilities consultant, and supervisor. She is a former school board member and president and has served as the project director for and author of numerous grants. She was instrumental in starting a number of innovative special education, early childhood, and career and technical programs. With undergraduate degrees in Education and Psychology, a masters in Special Education, a masters in Metaphysical Science, and a PhD in Metaphysical Counseling, she now combines her educational experience with holistic healing methodologies and energy medicine, serving as the CEO for The Mind Fairy, LLC.
